Josh Shaffner delivers a stunning atypical approach to stop motion animation with Flaws. A combination of cel-animation and pencil/paper wizardry, this piece explores not only technique but windows into the human psyche. Throughout the process, Shaffner accumulated a series of 18 pages of detailed drawings. While some elements flash and stray haphazardly there remains a focal point, alluding to the concept of a centralized constant in the midst of chaos. Although seemingly random and non sequitur, we are confident there is some method to the madness.
