Narcose à l’azote, translates directly to “nitrogen narcosis”, a condition induced while diving and breathing under pressure higher than above water. The diver can experience a transformation of mental state, wooziness, euphoria, and enter a dreamlike realm.
They also call this “the martini effect” due to the similar effects of drinking martini’s on an empty stomach. Accompanied by paper cutouts and endearing illustrations, Benevello takes us on a dreamy journey under the water and wets our appetite for the mysteries of the deep.
