Second year animation student at CalArts, Mathieu Libman, steps up to the plate with this quirky tale of a man on the quest to find a missing appendage. Pinky Toe is comprised from a combination of 2D art-deco inspired scenery and stop motion characters. The endearing storyline guides us through the psyche of a troubled individual, asking the pressing question: is 9 toes enough? The scenes are peppered with a nice assortment of retro styles, while not losing its contemporary footing. *All puns intended.
