Ray Harryhausen may as well be known as one of the pyramid builders in our field. Animators animate our imaginations more than any material or media they are working with and that fact will be true so long as we are human, which should be for at least fifty more years! Not everyone was alive when “Clash of the Titans” came out, but we all have certainly reaped the wealth of strange dreams stoked and brought into ‘reality’ with technology, a practice of which Ray Harryhausen was a progenitor. This is a sweet tribute to one of the first animators/ fx artists to forge his way onto the big screen and right into our collective heart. Thank you, Payton Curtis, for this tribute to our recently passed fanciful forefather of awesome.
