The brief was to create a story that reflects the Picturehouse experience, including its customers, offerings and screenings. With the animation playing before every film, maintaining interest with repeat viewings was fundamental to the design.

According to producer/writer/director Baz Sells, “At its heart is a story about looking out for each other-- a story about unseen acts of kindness and “paying it forward,” set amidst the cold climate of modern-day austerity.”

It will end with clay.” This seems to be the exploration of his short, “DISTORTION.” From the beginning of the piece, even geometric cubes of clay have some personality, that quality only continues to ramp up as the clay morphs into hands and a face with a very hungry mouth.
